Reds Champions League battle BEFORE City
Speaking in his ECHO column, former Reds striker John Aldridge - who also blames his new boots for him taking a tumble in Saturday’s Legends game at Anfield - reckons Liverpool have another Champions League battle to win before they tackle Manchester City.
He says:
We have to keep our eyes on what’s next. And that’s Crystal Palace away.We can’t afford to slip up and allow Chelsea the chance to get back into the race for a top-four place.I watched Palace at home to Manchester United recently and thought they did well.They then went to Huddersfield Town and won, a result they needed given their scrap against relegation.Palace have players who can hurt you, not least Wilfried Zaha who is now back having been sidelined for a spell through injury.
