Spare a thought for Thierry Henry, who was live in attendance as Arsenal were outclassed by Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday evening.
Henry’s former club hit another disappointing low with a 3-0 defeat in front of their own fans, just four days after losing to Pep Guardiola’s side by the same scoreline in the Carabao Cup final.
The result, courtesy of goals from Bernardo Silva, David Silva and Leroy Sane, leaves Arsenal a stunning 30 points behind the Premier League leaders and you’ll be hard pushed to find a single supporter who remains ‘Wenger In’.
Henry’s name has been put forward as a potential replacement for Wenger and Guardiola, who managed the Frenchman at Barcelona, admitted that the 40-year-old has the ability to succeed in a managerial role.
"If he wants to be manager, he has the talent to do it," Guardiola said. "But he has to decide, not me."
