Major injury blow for Liverpool as midfielder forced off vs Roma’

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain stretchered off against Roma

Liverpool are in their first Champions League semi final for 10 years and the fans are certainly making the most of the experience.

The atmosphere at Anfield was short lived for former Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who was stretchered off the pitch midway through the first half.

Chamberlain was involved in a challenge with former Manchester City full back Aleksandar Kolarov but no foul was committed. Chamberlain seemed to twist his knee in the aftermath of the challenge.

The 24 year old was taken down the tunnel with his leg in a brace and fans will be hoping that he is not out of action for too long.
